I'd prefer it over the new Toyota Corolla simply on the notion that there is way too many of them... there is not so many of these Honda Civics.

that too..safed hathi wala haal hee na ho jai na yar..
besides it looks more like a parrot, with its hood so bent.. i wish they could've done a better job with the shape of the hood..
that new toyota, sure looks like a TAnK but it looks much stronger..
i've heard HonDa's are addictive..and they are affordable.

i dint check on other asian country sites for Honda... but i found this particular one only in the honda websites for pakistan.. thats so curious..
the latest civic i think is the Prosmatic...
there is a mighty diffrence in the shape ... the city has the most yummy interior...

BTW minx this car is a great family car(any Honda is).My dad uyses the new CIVIC, my mom has the 2001 model City and a cuz has this one.
Luxury and Economy wise the City is a great car.It gives u about14-15 km/litre in the city(atleast mine and mu cuz's does), which drops down to 12-13 km/litre with the AC on(again in the city) on the highway it can give upto 19 km/litre(I've heard that the new one can go upto 20ks/litre.).
All in all it's a great value for money and has a high resale value(my 3 year old city was bought in 2001 for Rs 800,000 approx and it's fetching 710,000 nowadays)
Plus we used Toyotas before and as u said Hondas are ADDICTIVE ,now every new car has to be a Honda or bust
And as the guy at the Honda sales point said when we bought the CITY:" Sir jee ab aap ko or koi car pasand nahin aiy gi siwaiy Honda ke!"

I don't think it is as it is a Pak brand and you never even see the name mentioned on US honda sites!!!!!
Same is the case with Camry which is available here but not Pakistan!!!!!!!!
City was only introduced for the Pakistani market ... as a car for those who needed things other then what Civic had to offer ............ i love the tail lights ...

they r actually selling there name HONDA.. every thing about 2004 model is in place except fot the exterior that has disappointed many in pakistan..that is why corolla sale has been shot up considerably.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "they are actually selling their name Honda"? Isn't Honda supposed to be doing just that? Sell their brand?
Anyway, looks are subjective. What looks ugly to you might look beautiful to me, and vice versa. Don't let that be the deciding factor.
Secondly, Corolla's sales aren't just up because of its exterior. Granted it is a better overall package than the Civic, you still have to consider the Pakistanis' craze for anything new. Just look at Honda City. In fact, I have read comments from a Honda City buyer that he was buying it just cuz it was new. Visit Sialkot or Faisalabad and you'll see a race going on to get the first car off the production line for any new model, just for the bragging rights. Hence the premiums.
