I'm dyin to learn wat type of Rock ppl listen to in this forum, or if they even listen to Rock at all, i mean like Metallica, System, Slipknot, Taking Back Sunday, Modest Mouse, OOIOO, etc.

well depends on your taste.. lately most of these new bands suck big time.. franz ferdinand has a really unique sound.. that's about the only new band i like these days.
Otherwise i am a die hard fan of Opeth, sisters of mercy, orgy, Nine inch nails, my dying bride, the cure.. man i can go on forever..
Im more into thrash metal and alot of instrumental aswell. But i love alot of 90s grunge aswell....mellows me out alot.
Stuff like 'tallica, anthrax, slayer, kreator, testament or steve vai, satriani, malmsteen, marty friedman for instrumental stuff and alice in chains, soundgarden, mother love bone for grunge etc etc etc

was, is and always will be a MEGADETH fan. other than that, i like so many bands from different genres of rock. i like all the way from ted nugent, iron maiden, black sabbath/ozzy and iommi, janis joplin, doors, thin lizzy, diamond head, led zepplin, ramones, lynard skynard, queen, motorhead to the more younger bands which is useless to name because they include so many, of course i hate the bubble rock immatures like linkin park or the worst band in the world ever, slipknot. for guitar, i love legends like dave mustaine, kirk hammet (pre load stuff), jimmy page, satriani, yngwie malmsteen, iommi, al pitrelli, marty friedman and the black guy from rage against the machine and now in audislave. and the list goes on.

so does that mean that you like megadeth or that you like older bands too compared to younger ones, or both?

Both, Mustain and the older stuff. Hey have ya heard the new megadeth album that just came out? Mustanes back with a new line up!
And Fasal, Slipknot sucks i agree, but there not goth, get that right, its metal.
yep, the new album is very good. die dead enough is an awesome track. the whole album has some very talented material in it. can't for their show over here. i am definately going to go.
slipknot, stone sour, disturbed, mudvayne and godsmack are good nu-metal bands. Linkin park and franz ferdinand have their own unique style A class apart from evryonelse. Metallica's recent stuff is crap I like their old stuff like sandman and master of puppets etc.
Metal kicks ass, i love Lamb of God, Cradle of Filth, Hatebreed, Nine Inch Nails, Slayer, Pantera, Metallica, and Anthrax and other bands, that r metal, but i also like Alternative, Punk, and Japanese stuff!

Red Hot Chili Peppers
I don't listen to Eng Rock much now. Only Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Greenday, Creed(sometimes) and thats about it. I like Paki Rock more tho.

Not big into em, but there pretty good aswell.
in paki rock, junoon and noori and a lot more up coming paki rock bands are awesome.
I've never heard Pakistani Rock, i really wanna, but i have no way to get sum of those CDs! But i am gettin sum Japanese Noise Rock! Has any1 ever heard of OOIOO or The Boredoms?

I don't listen to Japanese Rock...I listen to Japanese Pop, but I may give rock a try in a month or so.
Koolio, im dyin to get sum Japanese Pop, but i live in the US, so they're pretty expensive, sum r close to 40 bucks out here!
