Turbans can be used if not helmets: Ch. Shujaat LOLANI.GIF

LAHORE: PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain told reporters on Sunday that the helmet restriction imposed on motorcyclists was for their own safety. However, Chaudhry Shujaat said he would ask Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to allow motorcyclists to wear turbans if they did not want to wear helmets. pr

Maybe some people do not have access to helmets, or money.

You mean to tell me that people have money to buy motorbikes but not saftey helmets?

I welcome the move; I think that next we need to do something about overloading; perhaps a similar scheme.

If I knew it could in an emergency save my life, then yes.

a Pot can make you equally as hot.

Besides if you wore an open helmet in a reflective colour, like white, you could keep cool...

Beg to differ Platinum. I have a bike helmet like that and it carries a specific warning that it is not designed to sustain high impact collisions so should not be worn on motorcycles.
However compared with that joker above with the pot over his head...it is 10 times better.

Yes, that is what I mean to tell u.

For some people, a motorbike is a necessity, as it is cheap and can get them anywhere in the city, mainly where they work. A helmet is just an accessory. A motorbike can take u across the city. A helmet can't!

As for the guy wearing a hotpot, he is probably wearing it because he doesn't want to/cannot afford a helmet, and does not want to get fined by the police for not having a helmet.

& Platinum786,
That bicycle helmet u posted isn't very common in Pakistan. I have only seen it once or twice in my whole life (in Pakistan), and I doubt any of the lower class people even know of it.
