Shab-e-Mairaj was observed last night across Pakistan with religious devotion and fervor. On the holy night, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) had the ascension to the proximity of the Almighty.

Mostly people passed the night in prayers at their residences and mosques and sought the blessings of Allah for their welfare and also for the well being of the nation as well as the Muslim Ummah.In observance of the holy occasion, mosques organized special prayer. Seminars were also organised to highlight the importance of the sacred Shab-e-Mairaj. Religious scholars also shed light over the Shab-e-Mairaj calling it an extraordinary miracle described with much importance by Quran and Hadis.

Houses and streets were decorated with bright bunting and at night are brightly lit with electric lights. In the evening, worshipers assemble in the mosques. People also gave alms to the poor, one of the central requirements of Islam. Lailat-al-Miraj also known as Shab-e-Miraj is a glorious night celebrating the Mairaj of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) when he went from Makkah to Al-Haram-Al-Sharif (also known as the Temple Mount) and was then raised to Jannah (Heaven), met with the Prophets and eventually with Allah.

All my family including me kept fast <naflee roza> and prayed to allaha for our belove country.
