Great video, glad you posted it. I really like the Spider....from what I've seen, despite the tons of talent he possesses, he is still a very humble person with a great sense of humor.

When Royce Gracie demolished the opposition in the early UFCs, he changed the very nature of the game, so much so that no one would dare enter the octagon without some knowledge of grappling. I hope the rise of Silva marks the ascendancy of strikers once again (as opposed to grapplers), simply because strikers are much more entertaining to watch. Having said that he also seems to have good knowledge of grapling and wrestling to compliment his Muay Thai. Would love to see him jump weight and fight other talented UFC fighters.

Yes he wants to box a champion in his weight class which is completely nuts and will have him being knocked out very quickly…The punching power of boxers is second to none and they have perfected the sweet science of striking with the hand. The striking of MMA fighters is average at best unless they came from a striking background. What makes them lethal is their usage of other tools such as wrestling, submissions, kicks etc. If Silva was to have all this taken away from him and compete in a punchers contest his work would be cut for him.

Anyhow as for Silva he is incredibly gifted and in my opinion pound for pound one of the best MMA fighters in the world. His win over Hendo was incredible, I have never seen him dominated like that.
