I'm using it on my work computer right now, I really don't like the new address bar. Other than that it is noticeably faster.

Just installed it and must say the performance seems to have been improved. I hope the excessive memory usage has also been addresses in this version.

I have been using Safari browser for quite some time, which claims to be much faster than Firefox and IE. That is what I have found true, it is much better, besides it has some very good options like History snapback. It is worth a test run.

yeah, Pakistani rupee has world's #1 buying power for Computer software. why bother wasting time in downloading.
When IE slows down, people prefer installing slipstream version of latest windows in the market.
hope u understand why firefox is not hot in Pakistan.

Why buy CDs? when it takes only a min or so to download the latest firefox? Or are you talking about the other unsigned softwares available in the market?
I prefer firefox over other browsers as it beats every other browser in almost every properties.

I use Firefox on my new laptop which runs Vista
I find Safari works better on my older, slower machine which runs XP
I think we can all agree that Internet Explorer is the worst browser because its the slowest and the one that helps spread the most viruses and popups

Download is the best option as you get what ever u want from web; You don't get to buy certain software/ documentaries for free or less than few hundred dollars (Example: History channels "The Universe Series" and many other 100's of software's) in the market & at the same time you can download it from the web for free; In a week I download more than 10-15
GB materials from Web.
As some one said, the ISP's in Pakistan should be blamed for making people go for CDs; I hope the situation will change soon and the end user will enjoy the taste of faster & unlimited internet connections.

In Australia, most of the internet providers have very less download limit or speeds, so even I don't have the privilege to enjoy unlimited downloads in this part of the world.

Oh I thought countries like Aus to have better and cheap service
Here we have two basic types of connections; 1. Commercial 2. Residential; Commercial will have many schemes to go for; There are many Internet providers apart from the Government one (cheapest one but will have to wait for new connections) to choose and they always compete each other to get more customers. I was using a cable modem for some time & the tariff was Rs. 1375 (inc all taxes) for three months (3 GB limit). A year back i shifted to private Broad Band connection & they charge Rs. 700 per month & its is much faster than the cable modem and the best part is ITS UNLIMITED :-) I am sure the rates will come down in few months.
