Chants of "We Love Musharaf" and "Musharaf ... Musharaf" go about as President greets Indians and Srilanks after the final.

So much for GEO's ... "Solah Crore Awam"

HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA
dargay
hey THANKS!
*Zarrar Jareeh*
Can you post the time (in the video) at which the crowd chants??
instantexcess
Actually, the chants are almost muted in the background, because of the commentators speaking. However, if you listen carefully, they are present the entire time after Musharaf walks in.

Also, if you follow arun lal's comments, than you can get an idea of the chants. He repetedly makes comments like "He is a popular man in this part of the world" and "Crowd chantting 'We Love Musharaf'", "Lots of chantting going around in the background" and a couple of other such comments.

Also, some one i knew was present at the stadium; apprently whatever crowd which was left for the Post match ceremony went balistic after seeing him.
*Zarrar Jareeh*
I saw the match live...there were lots of people with posters of 'We Love Musharraf'.

I don't think he is unpopular, but many people are frustrated at him.

He would be out the door quicker than he can imagine if we have a competent political alternative, but we have this joke of government.

Karachi loves Musharraf. Its plain to see. THe only people who are "frustrated" with the President is the Ganja crowd and the extremists. Mostly because Musharraf exposed them for the corrupt thugs and murderers that they are.

Unfortunately these are the guys that have the media cats in their pockets. In reality Musharraf has been one of the best things to happen to Pakistan.

Nah bro, you can't say that. I'm frustrated with the guy. NRO was a kick in the balls for the nation, delivered by whom? A lot of people support it as the will of the people, bro the people want a lot of things, i'd like no tax, free fuel blah blah, we don't get that at the cost of the national interest, why did we get NRO? He's a bit too media orientated. He's always looking to make the popular moves, not the ones that need to be made. Why have we backed down from taking out the terrorists who operate in our country? why were the people within the lal masjid allowed to walk away free, they all needed to be arrested and investigated.... why did we not have forced land reform? why do we not have kalabagh dam? So many things that he could have done that he didn't do, that's what frustrates me. What's the point of all those years if we return to square one.

Its good for his PR. ALso, the Pakistan's secret service was keeping a good eye out for anyone. Good to know that he is in safe hands.

President Musharraf Zindabad.

Plat bro its never was as simple as that. Its easy to be the "bad ass" and make the hard decisions and not give a hoot of what others say, but the fact of the matter is that the man isn't immune from pressure, both external and internal. Just look at what happened when he took a decision regarding the judge. Mayhem full stop. On top of that you have international pressure, and the fact of the matter is we depend on the international community. If he was ruthless like Fidel, Saddam or Gaddafi, that pressure wouldn't be an issue. But then you'd have thousands of people dead as well, (ganja and his cronies for sure) but thats not how musharraf is. The NRO was a product of ground reality. 10% and Ganja have influence in Pakistan and that is the sad SAD truth of this country. Believe me bro, I felt like hurling when I heard Ganja and 10% were back. But accusing Musharraf of being a media whore ignores the pressures and the dynamics of leading a country like Pakistan.
As far as the terrorists are concerned bro, he was the first president to order 80,000 troops into the FATA region. Something never done before ever. Plus there are dynamics at work here that a lot of us aren't sure about. I'm talking about the US presence in that region and its motives for actually being there. Forced land reform is easy to say when you aren't the one owning the land. Kalabagh would never have been accepted by either the NWFP or Sindh. (the goal was provincial harmony). From what I can see he did a lot more than any other politician in the past 60 years.

Here's a ground breaking concept you've never heard of. How about you blame the crime on the person who committed it.

So you agree, that NS and AZ are corrupt and are thugs and Musharraf forgave them for the sake of national reconciliation.

I think you don't know about NRO. NS denied to accept this and said that he will face the cases against him in courts.

for you information; it is for PML-Q, MQM & PPP. NRO is not applicable on the cases filed after 1999. So, NS do not have benefit of NRO.

So, NS do not have benefit of NRO.

NS's sentence was cut from 10 years in exile, to 8 years.
He is sitting in Pakistan because of the NRO.
NS/SS could file their papers because of NRO.

Now if EC finds them inelligible because (even if sentence reduced) they are convicted felons, is mey independent judiciary ka kia kasoor?

Same crap that Nawaz is spweeing his "Jalsay" .... the man has been the biggest beneficiary of NRO ... even more so than Zardari.

Topics regarding cases on Shabaz & nawaz being dropped have been posted here. Yet you selectively ignore them.

Shabaz had some murder charges against him dropped, where he was carring out "extra-judicial" killings during his Cheif Minister days.

Also, there was a "Helicopter case" along the lines of the same Hi-jacking he did on 12th October, which has been dropped.

So ... while Zardari has survived curroption charges, NS and his team have survived against murder and hi-jacking charges.

Why else Nawaz is all ready to support Zardari on the NRO if he supports him on the judges?
zainabia
Nawaz Sharif brought Pakistan to a stage where we were 2nd Biggest Corrupt Country of Pakistan.

And in era of Musharraf, we came up to 48th spot.

Now you know how Nawaz drowned Pakistan's Economy and Pakistan.

Do you still want to support this thief Nawaz and Co?

asamih
Nice video bro thanks.
The chants of "we love Musharraf" just come to show to those that are a critics of Musharraf and constantly rant that he is hated by all that there is no truth to their words. The free media like geo often make a whole palava out of the situation in Pakistan making it sound terrible and unsafe when actually it is much safer than they make out. And telling eveyone that Musharraf is hated by all and must go when defacto he has a large support base and is loved by many.

Even anxious has said that between PPP and Musharaf ... he has changed his views.

But anxious ... between the two PPP and PML-N ... PPP were still the relatively somewhat probably better guys.

While PPP are fuedals, PML-N are deal seaking corporate vultures ... I am sure you recall the incident where food department officials were beaten by a PML-N MNA after their trucks were stopped from smuggling wheat to afghanistan.

and atleast PPP is not convicted of hi-jacking planes.

Baseless!!!!!!

I know you don't not know about it and denying reality. Can you tell me how NS is the biggest beneficiry of NRO???????????? Seriously, do you know about NRO? NRO is for those who were effected after 1986 (i.e. Iltaf Bahi Log) to 1999 (for Benazir). Don't spread rumours yaar. Accept it that Busharraf brought NRO because he wants to remain President for another five years and also he tried to form a colition govt. of PPP+PML-Q+MQM. Otherwise, it does not have any benefit for Pakistani or for its people
